A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: on reinforcements of the Straits of Messina, on July 18; of the Allied naval bombardment of Crotone, on July 21; that an investigation of dropping points in north-east Sicily was ordered, on July 18; on the state of runways in Sicily and southern Italy, on July 19; and CX/MSS/2932/T28 (see 3953).
