Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that Kesselring orders that the 29th Regiment be sent to Sicily as soon as possible, on July 18; a situation report on July 18 including a large concentration of German bombers being in the Foggia area; of the strength of the 15th Panzer Grenadier and Hermann Goering Divisions on July 9; that the 14th Panzer Corps' intelligence appreciated on July 18 a weakening of the Allied offensive intentions at Catania; and that gliders of the 2nd Air Landing Geshwader are in use for flights to Sicily, on July 20; on South-east Europe and the Russian Front: on the Soviet offensive as explained to King Boris, on July 21; and of the 4th Air Fleet's operations on July 20, mainly on the Mius and Donetz fronts; and Naval Headlines.
