Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following messages: BJ 120267 (see 3946); BJ 120280 (see 3983); from the Spanish minister in Stockholm, describing Swedish anxiety regarding the German internal political situation, on July 15; from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin, on the Allied invasion of Sicily, on July 17; from the Romanian minister in Rome, on the Allied air raid of Rome, on July 19; and the Portuguese ambassador's letter (not included).
