A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: a situation report for the Valguernera area for July 19; and a situation report on Sicily, for July 19; from the Japanese ambassador in Rome, detailing Mussolini's appeal to Hitler, on July 17; from the Japanese minister in Lisbon, on the Azores, on July 16; from the Portuguese ambassador in London, that he is to resign, on July 20; and SHARK: reporting success on July 15.
