A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: of an attack by Spitfires on Catania on July 19; that an Allied attack in the direction of Paterno is expected early on July 20; that Goering orders that Catania be developed into an impregnable fortress, on July 18; of an Allied air attack on Rome, on July 19; a situation report for July 19 including an Italian division being encircled at Raddusa; Kesselring reports that General Major Rodt is to be dismissed, on July 19; and Naval Headlines.
