A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: that the Hermann Goering Division is unable to attack at present, on July 14; a German Air Force (GAF) report on the front line in east Sicily, on July 15; of the Hermann Goering Division's defence line, on July 15; of paratroop reinforcement to the Axis left wing near Catania, on July 15; that Axis reserves are required for the southern edge of Catania, on July 15; and of Allied warships being observed off Catania, on July 16; on the Mediterranean: the GAF report Allied vessels to be at Bizerta, on July 16; and of Axis ships being sunk by a submarine in the Gulf of Salonika, on July 12.
