This file includes the following reports on South Europe: that German reinforcements are to be sent to Catania from Reggio, on July 14; that Axis anti-aircraft units in the Messina Straits are to engage sea targets, on July 14; of the German Air Force (GAF) 2nd Air Fleet's order of the day, for an all-out effort to annihilate the enemy, on July 12; of the Italian 6th Army moving to Randazzo, on July 13; that the 15th Panzer Division is protecting the right flank of the army, on July 12; of the 15th Panzer Division being transferred to the east flank, on July 10; and on GAF reconnaissance of Allied shipping at Bizerta, on July 14; on Germany: that German air defence radars are to keep special watch for RAF Mosquitos, on July 9; of a heavy British raid on Aachen, on the night of July 13-14; and that German night-fighter crews are over-strained, with additional rations being required, on June 30.
