A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: that Kesselring seeks an assessment of the Sicily situation from General von Senger, on July 14; that the German Air Force (GAF) blow up Trapani airfield, on July 13; and that on the orders of Hitler, detachments of the 29th Division are to be sent to Sicily on July 14; on the Southern Russian Front: that the GAF are still hampered by bad weather, on July 13; Naval Headlines; from the Chilean minister in Lisbon, that the Allies are seeking to occupy the Azores, on July 12; and from the Japanese envoy to the Vatican, relaying the German ambassador's views on Vatican peace endeavours, on July 8.
