A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following messages: from the Japanese minister in Lisbon, that there is no substance in a report that Portugal is to join the Allies, on July 5; and from the Japanese minister to the Vatican, on Vatican peace soundings, on July 3.
