Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: of an Axis claim to have shot down 15 Allied aircraft without any loss to themselves, during a raid on Sciacca, on July 3; Naval Headlines; from the Japanese military attaché in Stockholm, on U.K. plans and troop movements, on July 2 (see also HW1/[82/20]); and SHARK: reporting success on June 15, 20 and 25.
