This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: of the resurgence of the 15th Panzer Division, on June 30; that German Air Force (GAF) reconnaissance of Malta and Gozo establishes the presence of numerous Allied naval units, on July 2; of an Axis supply vessel being torpedoed, on July 4; that Milis airfield in Sardinia was completely wrecked after Allied air raids on July 3; another account, showing less damage of the attacks on Milis airfield, on July 3; of Allied air attacks on Sardinia and Sicily, on July 2 and 3; the Prime Minister (PM) queries with the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) whether Tedder and the U.S. realize the results of the Allied air attacks; and CAS's reply, on July 8.
