Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: a sea and air situation report for the Mediterranean on June 26; on the Russian Front: that the Royal Romanian Air Corps is to operate with German aircraft from mid-June; and that bombers of the 4th Air Fleet raided a Russian oil depot at Astrakhan and an industrial complex at Saratov during the night of June 26; Naval Headlines; from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lisbon, giving his His Majesty's ambassador in Lisbon's views on the importance of the Lisbon negotiations, on June 27; from the Japanese ambassador in Rome, on Mussolini's health, as of June 19; from the Japanese minister in Madrid, on the internal political situation, as at June 24; and from the Brazilian ambassador in Lisbon, giving Spanish views on the war situation, on June 25.
