A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean/Southern Europe: that German Air Force (GAF) units in Sicily are preparing for a withdrawal to northern Italy, on June 22; of 3 German Roman IV tanks being taken by landing craft from Naples to probably Sicily, on June 25; that fortress battalions destined for Sicily and Sardinia are to be sent to Reggio and Leghorn respectively, on June 23; of the results of Allied air raids on Olbia and Messina, on June 25; and that GAF fighter-bombers in at least the Sicily area are to cease employing the new technique of dropping bombs which explode in mid-air above enemy bomber formations, on June 24; on the German secret service: a report of June 23 from its chief agent in Athens who had been talking to a former Greek colonel, believed to be in contact with the guerillas, that a British landing is imminent in the area of Preveza - Arta and Albania, with a further landing in eastern Thrace; and on Greece: that GAF aircraft bombed guerilla night supply drop zones in northern and central Greece, on June 25.
