Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following messages: from the Portuguese ambassador in London, a report of June 21 giving the ambassador's detailed plan for accompanying Eden to Lisbon to discuss the British request for the use of military facilities on the Azores; and a reply dated June 22 from Lisbon to the ambassador arguing against Eden's proposed visit and stating that it was far too soon in the negotiations for such an event.
