A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean/Southern Europe: of German Air Force (GAF) reconnaissance results on June 21, of the sabotage on the Athens - Salonica railway line and of the Tobruk - Sidi Barrani area; that the Germans achieve major success in ferrying men and materials across the Straits of Messina, with the Italians being asked to emulate this performance on June 21; that 8 GAF auxiliary airfields in Sicily are to be activated on June 19 for the formation of fighter concentration areas; that the GAF requests the delivery of a temporary bridge to Greece to ease the fuel supply problems after bridges there were sabotaged, on June 21; that an Italian tanker is to take fuel to Piraeus to help alleviate the fuel supply problems in Greece following the sabotage of bridges, on June 21; of more sabotage of railway installations in Greece, on the night of June 20/21; and that a new GAF fighter unit is now based near Brindisi, on June 21.
