Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that the German Air Force (GAF) are to cooperate and exercise with the Italian Navy in preparation for resisting possible future Allied landings in Italy, and that a planning conference is to be held in Genoa on or soon after June 22; and that the Salonica-Athens railway and telephone lines were sabotaged during the night of June 20/21; and on Norway: that heavy weapons for the airfield defence of northern Norway are still unavailable, as at June 20.
