Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean: that one GAF bomber unit is to remain in Sicily, probably at Piacenza, from June 21; a German intelligence summary report for June 19/20, that German sigint reflects Allied aircraft are operating out of bases in Scotland and Iceland, and an Allied landing in the vicinity of a German weather station on Spitzbergen; on Spitzbergen: that following the Allied landing on June 20 German personnel retreated towards the coast, that a German U-boat was sent to take them off and GAF aircraft got airborne to reconnoitre the situation; and Naval Headlines.
