This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean: that one GAF bomber unit is to remain in Sicily, probably at Piacenza, from June 21; a German intelligence summary report for June 19/20, that German sigint reflects Allied aircraft are operating out of bases in Scotland and Iceland, and an Allied landing in the vicinity of a German weather station on Spitzbergen; on Spitzbergen: that following the Allied landing on June 20 German personnel retreated towards the coast, that a German U-boat was sent to take them off and GAF aircraft got airborne to reconnoitre the situation; and Naval Headlines.
