This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that Kesselring orders a Field Gendarmerie Company in Italy to be set up, on June 10; the German version of the damage done to Allied naval forces during the occupation of Pantelleria on June 11; and of a German Air Force (GAF) plan of attack to repulse an Allied landing on Lampedusa, on June 12; on South-east Europe: of GAF operations in Rhodes and Crete on June 11; from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin, on Turkish assurances to the Axis powers, on May 27; and from the Greek ambassador in Kuibyshev, on the war situation, as of June 11.
