Description

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that Kesselring orders the Commander of the German Armed Forces in Sicily to take measures against concentrated Allied air raids, on June 11; and a situation report for June 9 and 10; and on the Russian Front: part of a situation report including a German Air Force (GAF) attack on the Gorki tank works during the night of June 10.
