Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that Pantelleria rejects a second ultimatum, and that the German Navy regards an Allied attack on the islands as imminent, on June 10; of detailed orders from Kesselring for preparations by emergency defence units, on June 9; of an increase in the fighting value of Division Sicily, on June 6; and that 400 tons of fuel were lost in a torpedoed ship, on June 9; on South-eastern Europe: a Balkan situation report for June 8; and that train workings in Greece fall below their required performances, on June 8; and on the Russian Front: a situation report for June 8.
