This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that General Major Lunfershausen has been identified as the Ground Officer Commanding (GOC) Division Sardinia, on June 2; of short rations impeding unloading operations at Olbia, on June 6; of a German Air Force (GAF) unit with Italian crews moving to Italy for training and operations, on June 7; a GAF station commander at Placenza airfield reports that the airfield is occupied with aircraft to an alarming degree, on June 7; that the 1st Panzer Division is destined for the Peloponnese on June 5, C comments that it was recently located in Brittany; on the Mediterranean: a survey of shipping on June 6 and 7; and a naval situation summary including an Allied landing attempt on Lampedusa apparently being repulsed, on June 7; on the Russian Front: reports of an imminent Russian attack in the Taganrog area, on June 7; and of GAF operations in southern Russia including an attack on the Gorki tank works, on June 7.
