Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that the German sea transport authorities consider the dispersal of all German vessels in Italy to be imperative owing to the critical air situation, on June 6; of Allied air attacks being reported on Pantelleria, on June 6; of Allied air attacks on Sardinian airfields on June 5; and the Germans report a list of disembarkation points in southern Corsica, on June 5; on the Mediterranean: a German Air Force (GAF) survey of the situation, on June 6; and that Axis artillery and anti-tank troops for Rhodes arrived in Athens, on June 5; and on the Russian Front: a report of operations, from June 5.
