Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that Hitler orders the despatch of 100 lorries to Sardinia, on June 5; on the Mediterranean: that the German Air Force (GAF) are to carry out a raid on 2 battleships and one aircraft carrier in Mers El Kebir harbour, on June 6; and that the Germans appreciate that the majority of landing vessels that have recently arrived in the Mediterranean are located in the Oran/Arzeu area, on June 2; and on the Russian Front: of the 15th GAF Field Division being urgently in need of modern guns, as of May 12.
