This file includes the following reports on Italy: of Flak reinforcements for Division Hermann Goering, on June 6; and that tanks for the Italian Army are to leave Genoa for Sardinia on June 6 or 7; on the Russian Front: that German Air Force (GAF) reconnaissance of Russian airfields on June 4 revealed over 500 aircraft; and a ground situation report including the Russian penetration of Orel, on June 5; from the Japanese ambassador in Rome, on the Italian situation, as of May 31; and from the Japanese minister in Kabul, giving the views of the Afghan Minister of Foreign Affairs on the war situation, as of May 25.
