This file includes the following reports: an ULTRA/BONIFACE report for Air Commodore Spencer, an alias for the Prime Minister (PM); on the Mediterranean: of damage at Lecce airfield, on June 2; that German Air Force (GAF) personnel in Sicily are being armed for ground fighting, on June 1; and that GAF Southeast are unable to release signals personnel, on June 3; from the Japanese minister in Sofia, on doubts about a German offensive on the Russian Front, from May 13; from the Japanese ambassador in Rome, on German policy on the Russian Front, on May 22; and on Italian morale, as of May 31; and from the Japanese minister in Madrid, on Allied air raids and propaganda being aimed at detaching Italy from Germany, on May 31.
