This file contains a message from Brigadier LRC Hollis for the Prime Minister (PM); a BONIFACE summary; and the following reports on the Mediterranean: that German Air Force (GAF) Sardinia torpedo aircraft are to make an offensive reconnaissance around Antelleria to look for attempted Allied landings, on May 24; that the GAF are to attack landing craft at Bizerta on May 25; that Kesselring orders there to be no more than 2 GAF bomber groups in Sicily, on May 24; of GAF fighter reinforcements heading to Sicily to attack Allied targets, on May 24; that an Allied air raid on Reggio causes heavy damage, on May 24; that the German Navy are to close the western entrance to the Aegean with mines, on May 21; and on the order of battle and the vehicle and tank strength of the 1st Panzer Division, which is moving to Southeast Europe, on May 23.
