This file contains a message from Brigadier LRC Hollis for the Prime Minister (PM); a BONIFACE summary; and the following reports on the Mediterranean: that the German Air Force (GAF) are to attack the Allied invasion fleet in Oran harbour, on May 18; that Axis tanks and equipment are being shipped to Sardinia, on May 17; on the Axis equipment going to Sardinia, on May 18; that 1000 German troops are at Palau, in Sardinia, as of May 17; that a German division is assembling in Sicily, on May 18; that German anti-aircraft artillery units are moving to Sardinia, Sicily and southern Italy, on May 17; that GAF bombers are to move south to the Gulf of Taranto, on May 17; that German anti-aircraft units are to be made mobile to deal with landings on Crete, on May 16; and that Hitler orders anti-aircraft artillery to use all barrels and the greatest amount of ammunition against Allied aircraft, on May 18.
