A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file contains a message from Miss Pettigrew for the Prime Minister (PM); and the following correspondence: from the Japanese minister in Budapest, on the future development of the war, on May 12; from the Japanese ambassador in Vichy, on Franco-German collaboration, on May 14; from the Portuguese minister in Washington, on the arrival of Churchill and Beaverbrook, on May 12; and from the Spanish chargé in London, that a British emissary to Stalin is to seek U.S. bases in the Soviet Union for operations against the Japanese, on May 11.
