Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file contains a message from Brigadier LRC Hollis for the Prime Minister (PM); a BONIFACE summary; and the following reports on the Mediterranean: that the German Air Force (GAF) are transporting supplies from Pantelleria, and escorting a troop convoy to the Dodecanese on May 16; of unloading difficulties at Palermo harbour because of the withdrawal of troops, on May 13; of a ship heading for Sardinia carrying tanks, on May 14; a German report of damage at Olbia harbour from an Allied air attack, on May 14; and of an Allied attack on GAF Alghero airfield, on May 14; and on Yugoslavia: that the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) for the Southeast is to concentrate his German forces on Communists and Cetniks, on May 14.
