Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file contains a message from Miss Pettigrew for the Prime Minister (PM). This file also includes the following correspondence: from the Japanese minister in Sofia, on Bulgarian suspicions of Turkey, on May 5; from the Japanese ambassador in Ankara, giving a Turkish newspaper editor's views on the war, as of May 11; from the Japanese ambassador in Rome, describing reactions to the loss of Tunisia, on May 11; from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, that the Germans ask for an armistice in Tunisia, on May 12; from the Portuguese ambassador in London, on the Allied victory in Tunisia, on May 13; from the Brazilian representative in Casablanca, forwarding Axis views on the future progress of the war, on May 11; and from the Brazilian ambassador in London, detailing Allied war plans, on May 16.
