Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean: that the Belluno is to sail independently for Naples, on May 7; that ships are on fire in Reggio harbour following an Allied air raid, on May 6; that after the demolition of Bizerta, all unloading craft are to go direct to Sidi Daud without calling at Tunis, on May 7; and of a proposal to send a German U-boat laden with 25 tons of ammunition to Tunisia, on May 7; on North Africa: a report from the Air Corps in Tunis, describing operations from the area north and west of Tunis to have been affected by Allied mastery in the air; and an aircraft serviceability report for May 7.
