This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a situation report from Army Group Africa, detailing a communications break down with the Fortress at Bizerta and the Division von Manteuffel; that superior Allied tank and infantry forces widened a break through between Mejerda and the road from Furna - Tunis; crushing Allied air superiority over the whole battle area; and that the lack of forces and fuel is preventing the movement of reserves; on the Mediterranean: of simultaneous air raids on Trapani and Marsala; of considerable damage to Reggio town and harbour, on May 6; a summary of German and Italian shipping activity, and of air transport arrangements to Tunisia, on May 6-7; and that a large-scale bomber and torpedo attack planned against an east-bound convoy was cancelled, on May 6.
