Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of German minesweepers being ordered to remain at Bizerta until the last moment practicable for sweeping the coastal channel, on May 3; and of the redistribution of German units to meet the greatest perceived threat in the area south of Medjerda, on May 4; Naval Headlines, covering the Nuernberg being expected to arrive at Kiel, on May 3; and that U-boats on patrol south of Bear Island are to be known as the Monsun Group.
