Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that Army Group Africa is willing to forgo German Air Force (GAF) air support for its troops on April 30 in order that GAF fighter escorts ensure the safe arrival of a tanker vital to the outcome of the Tunisian campaign; that the blocking and destruction of the Bizerta port facilities are now to be delayed until arrangements have been made for all E-boats to be transferred to Sicily, on May 2; of 2 Italian E-boats being sunk by Allied aircraft during rescue operations off Tunisia on April 30; a return for the equipment off loaded at Tunis on May 1, with none being off loaded at Bizerta; and on General Von Arnim's signal to Ribbentrop concerning Admiral Esteva, dated April 30.
