A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that more elements of the Hermann Goering Division are to be sent from Italy to Tunisia and of a request in priority order for equipment needed in Tunisia, on April 27; a German Air Force (GAF) report of an Italian destroyer in flames off Cape Bon, on April 28; a GAF intelligence report, giving the status of fighting on the Russian and North African fronts, as of April 28, with an Allied main attack on the Tunisian Front still awaited; and on North Africa/the Mediterranean: of a U.S. aircraft attack on an Axis hospital ship off Cape Bon, on April 28.
