This file includes the following reports on North Africa/the Mediterranean: a German general intelligence summary for Tunisia and the Mediterranean area, on April 21, stating that the supply situation is very strained due to small stocks of fuel and high expenditure of ammunition; that a German Air Force (GAF) unit is to transfer to Sicily from Tunisia on April 24 because of the lack of aviation fuel in Tunisia and the vulnerability on the ground there to Allied air attacks; that 28 twin-engined GAF aircraft with fighter escorts are to transfer fuel to Tunisia on April 24; of the Tunis Air Corps' understanding of the current front line on April 24 and a report of an attack by some 100 Allied tanks; on the combat plans for the Tunis Air Corps for overnight on April 24/25; of the formation of an anti-aircraft artillery division in Sardinia, on April 21; and of a German sea transport office being established on Cape Bon Peninsula, on April 22; and on the Russian Front: of a German claim to have repulsed a Russian counter-attack at the Novorossijsk bridgehead, on April 24.
