Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: GAF Tunis' 1st evening report, for April 14, stating that they have no fuel for bombers; on the Mediterranean: that the GAF staff of a Stuka unit are to move to Sardinia, on April 14; Naval Headlines, covering Atlantic U-boat operations, and Axis tankers being sunk in the Mediterranean; from the Japanese minister in Madrid, on Ribbentrop's visit to Mussolini and the Axis military situation, on April 9; from the Japanese minister in Budapest, relating the German view on the Balkan situation, as of April 12; from the Turkish minister in Budapest, relaying Hungarian fears of an Allied invasion in south east Europe, from April 12; from the Afghan Legation in Rome, on the Axis' desire for peace, on April 10; and from the Japanese ambassador in Ankara, on the coming visit of the British Commander in Chief (C-in-C) for the Near East, on April 11.
