Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the German Air Force (GAF) are to reconnoitre and attack on April 14; of the front line on the south Tunisian sector, on April 13; of the GAF making 70 sorties, on April 13; GAF Tunis' 1st evening report, for April 13; that many GAF aircraft were destroyed in an Allied bombing raid, on April 13; on the serviceability of Axis airfields in Tunisia, on April 12; that the GAF's 2nd Air Fleet is to move on April 16; of GAF 2nd Air Fleet orders for April 14, that unit ground personnel are to be withdrawn to Naples; that aviation fuel and anti-aircraft ammunition are to be given the highest priority for shipment to Tunisia, on April 13; and of an indication of GAF fighter-bomber reinforcements for Tunisia, on April 12; on the Mediterranean: that a GAF Stuka unit is to transfer from the Russian Front to Sardinia for training, on April 12; of a Portuguese ship being sunk by a submarine, on April 12; a GAF HQ report on the ground forces' situation, as of April 13; that Goering orders that anti-tank flying units are to be used only against tanks, with priority to be given to an enemy break-through, on April 12; and that officers were posted to a commander for attacks on England, on April 10.
