A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean: a German Air Force (GAF) situation report for April 10-11; and that GAF Sardinia torpedo aircraft failed to find Allied destroyers, on April 12; on North Africa: of a British advance in the Kairouan and Sfax area, on April 11; on the locations of a GAF unit in Tunisia, on April 11; and that GAF Tunis is to report their progress on the release of French aircraft for sea rescue service, on April 11; on the Southern Russian Front: that the GAF are expecting a decision on the re-subordination of Roumanian Air Force units to the GAF after Antonescu's visit to Hitler, on April 11; from the Portuguese minister in Ankara, that the Commander of the British Forces in the Near East is to visit Turkey, on April 8; and giving Axis views on Allied invasion plans, on April 12.
