Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: the German Air Force (GAF) at Tunis' 2nd evening report, for April 7, noting the 8th Army's advance; that the GAF are to concentrate their attacks on tank concentrations on April 8; GAF Tunis' 1st evening report for April 7, detailing GAF unit transfers; that GAF airfields in Fauconnerie are no longer serviceable, on April 7; of the withdrawal of the 10th and 21st Panzer divisions, on April 6; on the disposal of reinforcements at Sfax, on April 5; of the GAF's operational orders for April 8; of GAF targets for the night of April 7-8; that railway repair shops were hit in a raid on Tunis, on April 6; of an Allied air attack on Enfidaville, on April 6; and of the GAF being informed of a vulnerable area on the Sherman tank, on April 7; on the Mediterranean: that priority is to be given by the GAF to attacks on invading convoys, on April 7; and that the air defence of Reggio is to be strengthened, on April 6.
