Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a German Air Force (GAF) in Tunis morning report, on April 1; on moves of the German air defences; of the GAF in Tunisia's aircraft strength, as of April 1; German signals intelligence indicates that GAF night attacks have exhausted Allied troops in the El Guettar area, on April 1; on the front line in the El Guettar area on April 1; that the GAF are to attack concentrations southwest of Fondouk on April 2; of the intentions of GAF bombers, on April 2; GAF Tunis' 1st evening report, for April 1; and three CX reports on Tunisia, for March 29-April 1; on the Mediterranean: GAF Sardinia report that 4 torpedo aircraft are serviceable out of 33, as of April 1; and that Berlin was informed of a warship concentration and an intention to attack Tunis, on March 31.
