Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: the German Air Force (GAF) at Tunis' final evening report, on March 31; GAF Tunis' 2nd evening report, for March 31; a GAF Tunis report late in the evening of March 31; that Italian labour forces are to move to develop the Enfidaville position for the 5th Panzer Army, on March 30; of the Centauro Division holding a heavy attack, on March 30; of the strength of the Centauro Division, as of March 30; that the 21st Panzer Division is unable to forward supplies because of a lack of fuel, on March 30; a strength return of the vehicles and tanks of Army Group Africa, on March 30; of the Centauro Division lacking transport, on March 30; the 21st Panzer Division's tank return, as of March 30; GAF Tunis' 1st evening report, for March 31, stating that Allied penetration in the northern sector was blocked; of the GAF's intentions for April 1 in the northern sector; that GAF Stukas are to attack early on April 1; a strength return of the GAF in Tunisia, on March 31; of a ship bound for Bizerta being sunk, on March 31; and that a German-Arab unit was assigned to a harrassing operation behind the Allied front, on March 30.
