Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: the German Air Force (GAF) at Tunis' final evening report for March 29, stating that the situation on the Western Front had not stabilised; GAF Tunis' 2nd evening report for March 29, noting a withdrawal on the Southern Front, and that the situation had been restored on the Western Front; that the GAF are to attack the road from Maknassy-Gafsa-El Guettar, on the night of March 29-30; that the Germans are to hold from Dj Tebaga-Fatnassa-the coast on March 30; an Army Group Africa report for March 27, noting heavy pressure on both armies; that GAF Stuka bombers are to attack armoured vehicles, on March 30; and a GAF evening report, for March 29; on the Mediterranean: that all serviceable fighter aircraft in Sardinia are to transfer to Sicily on March 30; that a sailing vessel was sunk by an Allied submarine on March 28; and that an Allied raid on Palermo sinks 2 ships, on March 25; and on the Southern Russian Front: of the GAF flying 550 sorties.
