This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the 15th Panzer Division is ordered to leave its battle group in order to cover the withdrawal of the Mareth garrison, on March 27; that the 15th Panzer Division occupies the defensive flank, on March 27; that the 164th Light Division expects an Allied attack during the night of March 27-28; and that German Air Force (GAF) assets intercepted by Spitfires over Axis territory were forced to jettison their bombs during an intended daylight attack, on March 27; on the Mediterranean: a report on a GAF attack on an Allied convoy, on March 27; and that six Axis aircraft are missing out of the 14 which attacked shipping in Algiers harbour, on March 27; on the North Atlantic: that an Allied convoy, believed to be bound for Murmansk, was sighted by a German submarine south-east of Greenland, on March 27; and on the Russian Front: that the Germans claim the recapture of Sevsk, on March 27.
