Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that General Messe requests the resubordination of the German Africa Corps to the 1st Army, on March 25; that the withdrawal of the 164th Division and the 21st Panzer Division is to take place only on the express orders of Army Group Africa, on March 25; the Chief of Staff (COS) of the 1st Italian Army's situation report and tank returns for the 15th and 21st Panzer Divisions, on March 25; and the German Air Force (GAF) at Tunis reports that reconnaissance reveals 1200 Allied motor transport to be near Soltane on March 25.
