Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the 10th Panzer Division's strength and forces available have been greatly weakened by Allied attacks with superior strength, on March 24; small-scale activity is reported on the Mareth Front, with the British withdrawing and bringing up their forces, on March 24; of Allied penetration in the Maknassy area, followed by a successful Axis counter-attack, on March 24; of serious damage to the Ferryville quay, on March 24; of the 15th Panzer Army's tank holdings, on March 24; that the 10th Panzer Division was hampered by a lack of transport for ammunition, on March 24; and that Sonderfuehrer Fraihaw von Neurath of the General Headquarters (GHQ) of Army Group Africa will attend, with Rommel, the Semmering sanatorium, on March 18; on the Mediterranean: that an Italian destroyer was sunk off the Tunisian coast, on March 24; and that an Axis vessel was sunk on a return voyage from Tunisia to Naples, on March 24; Naval Headlines; and of sigint success against SHARK for March 23 and 24.
