Description

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of the 164th division's positioning, on March 22; that an unidentified German unit was despatched to block penetration; that the British captured Italian companies; and that the 164th Light Division and the 21st Panzer Division are to be subordinated to General Mannerini; Naval Headlines; the Japanese charg� in Rome reports that Mussolini intends to visit Hitler and Ribbentrop; and of sigint success on SHARK for 19 and 20 March.
