A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: the Tunis Air Corps' situation report for March 15 and their combat plans for March 16; a German naval summary for March 15 covering the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean, and the North and Black Seas; on France: that German Air Force (GAF) personnel in western areas are to carry small arms with ammunition, and that all men on leave are to carry small arms without ammunition but leave trains will carry cases of ammunition which will be issued should any danger threaten, on March 14; and that large anti-shipping bombs are to be despatched from munitions stores in western France and Holland to those in northern France and Belgium; on the Russian Front: that the Germans considered on March 13 that the position of the 2nd Panzer Army in the Bryansk - Orel area had eased and that the Soviets would not achieve a decisive victory in that area until the spring thaw; and from the Spanish chargé in London, on increasing friction between General de Gaulle and His Majesty's Government (HMG), on March 12.
