Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a German Air Force (GAF) at Tunis evening report, on March 12; of the German Navy's postponement of the Roselli section because 2 ships were torpedoed, on March 13; Naval Headlines, covering German U-boat activity; and that the Germans believe that Axis convoy intentions are known to the British; from the Japanese ambassador in Kuibyshev, that Soviet attacks continued throughout February; and on a rise in the morale of the population, on March 9; and from the Turkish ambassador in Vichy, that the Germans are confident of victory in a new total mobilisation, on March 10.
