Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that Kesselring stresses the importance for the German Air Force (GAF) to protect a convoy to Tunisia, on March 12; on the Russian fronts: of German withdrawal in the central sector, on March 11; Naval Headlines, covering Axis shipping to North Africa; from the Japanese ambassador in Kuibyshev, on Germany's military defeat in the Soviet Union and its implications for the future war strategy, on February 26; from the Japanese ambassador in Vichy, relaying German information on the North African situation, on March 5; and from the Turkish ambassador in Rome, that Goering and Doenitz are visiting Rome, on March 9.
